Meet David
DSW Weddings was born from a deep-rooted love of weddings, combined with two decades of managing some of Scotland’s most renowned restaurants and event spaces.
What always resonated most when working in these spaces wasn’t just creating the right atmosphere in the restaurant, or taking time to thoughtfully plate dishes so they looked as exquisite as they tasted. It was ensuring people felt noticed, valued and appreciated. Yes, people remember great food and service, but they also remember how the whole event made them feel.

This is the thread that’s woven throughout my wedding planning.
- There’s the fact that you’ve chosen to spend your life together – an inspiring love story that deserves to be told through a deeply personal and intentional celebration.
- Then on the day of the wedding, it’s hundreds of different elements coming together at exactly the right time and in the right way to make sure your vision is just as you imagined.
- There are the big elements, such as a venue that makes everyone feel welcome, and food that’s some of the best you’ve ever tasted. Then it’s the wee details, such as table names that reference your relationship. The area that’s set up outside with cushions and blankets for catch ups away from the dance floor. The band who’s prepped a set list of all your guests’ favourite songs. The tiny details that could only be yours.

All these are why I’m a bespoke wedding planner. And why I feel so privileged to work with couples who want a wedding that’s as unique as their love story.
The planner behind the weddings
I’ve spent my whole life in Scotland, and now live just outside Glasgow. Things that spark joy for me are gardening on a sunny day, reading a book that’s preferably part of a trilogy, watching a rom com (The Prince and Me is a definite favourite), and sampling some of my extensive whisky selection.
